The Stillness After the Storm
You’ve decluttered. You’ve simplified.
Life feels lighter now. Less noise, less rush.
But someone recently asked me,
“How do we go about knowing ourselves? I am starting to entertain silence more.”
It’s a beautiful question, and one that often appears when the noise finally fades.
For years, we fill our days with things, tasks, and people that keep us busy. We think we’re living, but sometimes we’re just moving. When we finally let go of the clutter — both physical and emotional — we begin to hear something new.
At first, it might feel uncomfortable.
The silence can be strange. The empty space might even feel like something’s missing. But don’t rush to fill it.
That stillness is sacred.
It’s where the whispers of your heart become clearer.
It’s where you begin to sense what truly gives you peace, not pressure.

In the same way you learned to live with less stuff, you can now learn to live with more meaning. Start by paying attention to what quietly draws your heart, not what shouts for your attention. Notice what makes you feel alive, calm, or grateful.
That’s your starting point.
The next steps—listening to your inner compass—will come in Part 2.
For now, stay in the stillness. Let silence do its work.
Because sometimes, what matters most only reveals itself when everything else finally stops making noise.
